Hier sorgen die wunderschönen Fachwerkfassaden und der Duft von frischem Lebkuchen und Glühwein für eine ganz besondere vorweihnachtliche Stimmung. Auch auf dem Platz An der Lilie laden festlich geschmückte Stände zum Bummeln ein.
Am Postamt „Zum Rentier“ am Platz An der Lilie können Kinder bis zum 11. Dezember ihre Wunschzettel einwerfen, die direkt zum ältesten Weihnachtspostamt nach Himmelsthür geschickt werden.
Die mehr als 30 Hildesheimer Kirchen, prägen das Stadtbild und erzählen von der reichen Geschichte der Stadt. In der Vorweihnachtszeit sind die Kirchen ein Ort innerer Ruhe begleitet von besinnlicher Advents- und Weihnachtsmusik.
