Schweineberg, Ohrbergpark, Klüt and Bürgerpark Hameln – special sights. A unique natural spectacle in Hamelin is the blossoming of the mullein flowers on the Hamelin Schweineberg in February/March. The Ohrbergpark, south of Hameln on the Ohrberg, is also worth seeing, especially during the rhododendron blossom in June. This beautiful English-style landscape garden offers a magnificent view of the Weser. A hike up Hameln’s local mountain, the Klüt, is also worthwhile. From here you have a fantastic view of the city. You can also relax directly in Hameln. The Bürgergarten adjoins Hameln’s old town. Next to the Werder, it is the most important and largest green space in Hameln’s city centre and therefore not only pleases tourists, but also fulfils a local recreational function for the city centre’s inhabitants. In the Bürgergarten, water games take place several times a day from April to October. Right next to the historic Pfortmühle (now the city library), a new bridge for pedestrians and cyclists connects the old town with the Werder. A café with a large beer garden in the greenery has opened on the Werder.
