Hildesheim is the host city for the opening ceremony of the 20th nationwide UNESCO World Heritage Day. Another anniversary will be celebrated with an attractive program. St. Mary’s Cathedral and St. Michael’s Church in Hildesheim have been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for 40 years.
