Discover a World Cultural Heritage!
Nestling at the foot of the North Harz Mountains, you will find the magnificent imperial city of Goslar, set amidst a splendid natural landscape. Towers soaring defiantly into the skies, numerous churches, colourful half-timbered houses and cobblestone streets make up the mediaeval face of the town. The former ore mine at Rammelsberg, together with Goslar’s historic centre and the Upper Harz Water Management System a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site, is truly an original among European museums of industrial culture. Not far from the centre you will find the mighty Kaiserpfalz (imperial palace) with its unique art treasures. The many cafes and restaurants invite you to linger while the attractive shops in the historic old town will take you off on a shopping trip you have never experienced before.
