A vacation from the very start

Your vacation in Wolfenbüttel begins with the walk from the train station to your chosen accommodation. Passing beautiful Wilhelminian-style buildings or strolling through Seeligerpark or the ramparts lined with old trees, you’ll reach the Old Town in just a few minutes. The Old Town captivates visitors with more than 1,000 half-timbered houses, beautiful squares, and, of course, the Welfenschloss, the world-famous Herzog August Library, the Lessing House, the new Memorial to Nazi Justice, and the churches. What makes a visit to Lessingstadt so memorable is that everything is so conveniently close by. In the city center, all sightseeing can easily be done on foot, and those who want to get around more can simply rent an e-bike at the accessible tourist information office. Wolfenbüttel is also an ideal starting point for bike tours in the region.

Wolfenbüttel is easily accessible by public transportation. From the ICE station in the neighboring city of Braunschweig, it takes just under ten minutes by regional train or just under 20 minutes by bus to reach Wolfenbüttel. You can also get to Berlin from there in about 1.5 hours.
