The large, worldwide unique special exhibition “Epidemics. Curse of the Past – Threat of the Future” presents the cultural and natural history of epidemics, including current challenges and approaches to solutions of modern medicine. In addition to dramatic outbreaks of the past, we are also threatened today by the return of old and new pathogens, which are shown by means of magnificent works of art and historical objects. State-of-the-art forms of presentation such as walk-in areas and holograms are used to transport visitors into history or to allow them to witness the latest developments.
