Ethnological Collection

Over 16,000 ethnographic exhibits from people from all continents and climate zones, and the famous Cook-Foster-Cellection from the 18th century.

Opening hours:

The museum is currently closed and is expected to move to the new university collection in the Forum Wissen (Knowledge Forum) in mid 2021.

Collections of art and cultural history of South Lower Saxony, prehistory and protohistory, town history, religious art, university etc.

Temporary exhibitions.

Tuersdays to Fridays 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
