On this tour through Einbeck’s charming historical centre, you can learn about the most important episodes in the town’s history. Strolling past the splendidly ornamented half-timbered houses, imposing churches and other historical buildings, you can find out more about the city’s interesting characters and aspects of brewing history that have had a political, economic and cultural impact on Einbeck.

Stadtführung in Einbeck: Helles Bier und dunkel Schatten Light beer and dark shadows

A special evening tour that shows you half-timbered houses, the Diekturm tower and churches in a different light – and you can climb the tower of the St. Jacobi Church in the market square. At the end of the tour, our guides share fascinating tales about Einbeck’s beer over a fresh draught beer or a refreshing soft drink.

This is a good tour for groups who arrive in their own coach. After a 30-minute drive along the old fortifications, the tour concludes with a walk around the historical market square.

After an extended tour of the historical centre, including a visit to the StadtMuseum, where you already learned a lot about beer brewing in Einbeck, it’s time to relax in one of Einbeck’s restaurants. In a hygge atmosphere, a beer seminar will impart everything you always wanted to know about beer along with tasters of three Einbeck beers (200 ml), after which you can get the Einbecker Bierdiplom (beer certificate).
