Christmas spirit throughout the city

Be enchanted by the romantic setting of the Christmas market in the Old Town. Christmas tree decorations, handicrafts and Christmas specialities are offered at more than 190 stalls in front of beautifully illuminated historic buildings. Craftspeople offer an insight into their skills in the historic Christmas village. In the middle of the “wishing well forest” you will find a golden ring at the Oskar Winter fountain. Christmas market in the old town 25 November to 22 December 2024

In front of the main railway station, the “Roncalli Christmas Market” (until Decmeber 30) offers idyllic huts inspired by the half-timbered architecture of Lower Saxony, a historic Ferris wheel and a walk-in restaurant-café. Christmas projections enchant the station façade three times a day.
