Lokal rekreation i en historisk atmosf\u00e6re<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Slotskompleksets forhistorie begynder i slutningen af det 18. \u00e5rhundrede. Omr\u00e5det mellem slottet og voldgraven, som blev reduceret til en gennemsnitlig bredde p\u00e5 23 fod (ca. 6,7 m), blev beplantet med tr\u00e6er og brugt som promenade langs en all\u00e9 af popler, der f\u00f8rte hele vejen rundt. Da det i 1839 blev besluttet at forberede Celle Slot til det hannoveranske kongehus, blev jorden bag voldgraven trukket ud af lejekontrakten eller k\u00f8bt. Under ledelse af haveinspekt\u00f8r SCHAUMBURG fra Hannover blev udvidelsesforanstaltningerne gennemf\u00f8rt mellem 1847 og 1866. Arealerne foran High Court of Appeal, i dag Higher Regional Court, var ogs\u00e5 blevet integreret i komplekset. I 1868 kom slotsparken under administration og professionelt tilsyn af det kongelige preussiske hofhavedirektorat i Potsdam.
I princippet er de grundl\u00e6ggende tr\u00e6k ved komplekset bevaret til i dag. I den vestlige del blev der givet byggegrunde v\u00e6k i 1899, og i 1922 blev der rejst et mindesm\u00e6rke for de faldne i F\u00f8rste Verdenskrig p\u00e5 den centrale gr\u00e6spl\u00e6ne foran slottets \u00f8stside, som blev flyttet til byhaven i 1999. I 1936 mistede man en stribe jord i nord p\u00e5 grund af den n\u00f8dvendige udvidelse af M\u00fchlenstra\u00dfe.
I dag   Schlosspark Celle er et popul\u00e6rt m\u00f8dested ikke kun for Celles borgere, men ogs\u00e5 for vores mange turister, som enten starter en guidet tur i byen herfra eller tager en pause fra shopping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
